Who these materials are supplied to, what every purchaser must confirm before payment, and when we decline an order.
Supplied for laboratory research only
Axos Research supplies research materials to researchers, laboratories, academic and institutional purchasers, and businesses conducting legitimate research. Nothing on this site is supplied for human or veterinary use, and we do not provide dosage, administration or treatment guidance of any kind.
This policy explains who Axos Research ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") supplies research materials to, what each purchaser must provide and confirm before an order can be completed, and the circumstances in which we review or decline an order. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions and our Research Use Disclaimer.
It is written to be read by purchasers, and to be read by the banks, payment providers and regulators who ask us to state plainly who our customers are.
Section 1
Who These Materials Are For
Our products are compounds and reference materials intended for in-vitro laboratory research, analytical work, method development, and educational or institutional research. They are supplied to purchasers who have a genuine research purpose and the competence and facilities to handle laboratory chemicals safely.
1.1 Typical purchasers
- Independent researchers and research consultancies
- Commercial, contract and analytical laboratories
- Universities, academic departments and institutional research groups
- Businesses conducting research and development
1.2 Who these materials are not for
These materials are not supplied to, and must not be purchased by, anyone intending to administer them to a human or an animal, to resell them for that purpose, or to use them for any clinical, therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic, dietary or personal purpose. That restriction is absolute and applies regardless of the purchaser's own qualifications.
Section 2
What Every Purchaser Must Provide and Confirm
An order cannot be completed on this site until the purchaser has supplied the following information and given both acknowledgements below. These are requirements, not optional fields, and the payment step is unavailable until they are satisfied.
2.1 Information required
- Organisation — the business, laboratory or institution the purchase is made for.
- Field of research — the discipline the materials will be used in.
- Purchaser name and business contact details.
- Delivery address.
2.2 Acknowledgements required
Two separate confirmations must be given affirmatively. Neither is pre-selected on your behalf, and neither can be skipped:
- 01A research-use acknowledgement, confirming that you are a qualified researcher aged 21 or over, that you are purchasing the materials solely for laboratory research, and that they will not be administered to humans or animals.
- 02Acceptance of our Terms & Conditions, which prohibit human or animal use, resale of products for such use, and misrepresentation of your identity, qualifications or intended use.
2.3 What we record
Each acknowledgement is recorded against your order together with the IP address it was given from, the date and time, and the version of the terms accepted. We retain that record as evidence of the basis on which the order was supplied, and may produce it in response to a regulatory enquiry, a payment dispute or a request from our payment providers.
Section 3
Review and Refusal of Orders
As stated in our Terms & Conditions, Axos Research may accept or decline any order at its discretion. An order placed and paid for is an offer to purchase; it is not accepted until we confirm it.
3.1 Grounds for declining an order
We will not knowingly supply materials where the information available to us indicates a prohibited use. The following are treated as grounds to hold, decline or cancel an order, and to decline future orders:
- Any communication indicating intended human or animal use, self-administration, or personal use.
- A request for dosage, administration, injection, cycle or treatment guidance.
- A request that we remove or alter research-use labelling, or describe a shipment inaccurately.
- Organisation or purchaser information that is materially inconsistent and cannot be reconciled.
- Repeated ordering attempts under different identities or organisations following a declined order.
- A chargeback previously filed against any order by the purchaser, or by anyone we link to the purchaser. This ground is permanent; see our Chargeback Policy.
- An order pattern that cannot be reconciled with the stated research purpose.
3.2 Outcome
Where an order is declined, payment is not captured or is refunded in full. We may contact you first if the matter is capable of being resolved. We are not obliged to explain a refusal in detail, and declining an order is not an accusation of wrongdoing — it reflects that we could not satisfy ourselves the supply was consistent with this policy.
Section 4
Obligations That Continue After Delivery
By purchasing from this site you accept responsibility for what happens to the materials after they reach you. In particular:
- You will use the materials only for the research purpose declared, and only within an appropriate facility.
- You will retain product labelling and any safety documentation supplied, and comply with applicable handling, storage, transport and workplace safety requirements in your jurisdiction.
- You will not administer, supply or direct the materials for human or animal use, and will not resell them to anyone who intends to.
- You will tell us if the intended use or the organisation the materials are supplied to changes materially.
